A FES is a device to overcome footdrop consisting of too small sticky pads which attach to your lower leg and a small battery pack, kept in your pocket. It mimics the nerve impulses from the brain. You can get them as a leg cuff which are much easier to use than messing about with wires - although you will probably have to pay for it yourself.
